Press Play for a steady A4 at 440 Hz, the standard reference pitch. Change the note, or the reference (for example 442 Hz for many orchestras or 415 Hz for baroque music), in the controls.
Tuning by ear
Play your note together with the fork. If they are slightly apart you will hear a slow wobble, the beating: turn the peg so the beating slows down until it disappears.
